Build Your Own Acoustic Guitar: Complete Instructions and Full-Size Plans (Book)ReviewsVery usefull with nice explanations and lot of clean pictures. All segments are covered step by step and you'll get full scale plan too. Highly reccomended for the beginers and experienced luthiers. This is a good book. As a relatively new builder (on 3rd guitar), I have been in search of information on all aspects of guitar building. I have yet to find a single resource that explains everything but this book clarifies a lot of issues. For example, after a couple of reads I now understand how to set the correct neck angle and have a good method for adjusting the dovetail joint to get a good fit. This alone is worth the price I paid for the book. Nice job! I found this book to be helpful and having good information. I have some woodworking skills and have read other material on building instruments, which made this book easy to understand. The information in this book was easy to follow and takes you from the basics to the completed instrument. This book is a wonderful composition, with a detailed explanation, not too heavy but very well illustrated with photos. A full sale enclosed plane encorage you to build up your own isntrument: this is a delighting experience. I do recommend this publication! It doesn't get any better than this. It even provides metric measurements for we aussies. If you're struggling to build a guitar from this book then go back and read it again 'cause you've missed something Average Rating: |
