This is a horrible company. I would recommend staying far away from anything M-Audio makes. They don't support their own hardware. They refuse to make 64 bit drivers for some of their devices (Radium49 for example). I would recommend getting a different brand because you can be guaranteed that this company will not provide updated drivers for any product you buy in the future. Buyer beware.

This device was used to connect an old Roland MT-32 to PC. It worked with the default Microsoft drivers (built-in to Windows) just fine. SysEx messages were conveyed properly. I did not notice any issues with dropped notes. The same is true with OS X. Just worked. However, when I did try the latest M-Audio drivers from their website, Windows started crashing, naming the driver as the culprit. I un-installed the driver and things went back to normal. I also tried E-mu Xmidi 1x1, and it did not send the SysEx messages, causing all the music to play with the wrong instruments.

I bought one of these from a local retailer. Got it home, followed the install directions for the latest Mac OSX 10.6.2 drivers and fired up Audio Midi Setup panel. It showed the Midisport Uno just fine in the panel. However, when I connected it to both a 25 key controller and a Yamaha DTXpress II drum brain, nothing would happen. I downloaded midimonitor (freeware) and it was monitoring midi just fine as well as the LED's on the Uno would light. However, I could not get it to transfer midi to any of my programs (Garageband, EZdrummer, etc). After some research I saw where some kits were defective so I took it back and got a new one - same problem!! After even more research it appears there is a known issue with the Macbook and Macbook Pro unibody machines not playing nice with this specific Uno hardware. And yes I verified with M-audio that this was supposed to be the newest revision. Even their tech support finally emailed back and admitted the incompatibility (7 days later). I'm done with M-audio and their cheap CRAP! Edirol's a bit pricier but is a more trusted brand...

With this type of product, if you run into problems, you might be left wondering if you have a software issue, a driver issue, or a glitch somewhere else in the chain. Whenever I've used it, there are stuck notes, and a random note-on here & there. Always assumed it was something else, but after over a year, I'm officially giving up on it. Too late to take back, and it does not fall into the range of serial numbers that would be affected by a recall (for a defect that causes the same symptoms). I tried contacting their customer service, but the link did not work (for a few days, anyway). It's a brick.

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 chances are it will NOT work. The company is still in the process of developing drivers that work and it is completely hit or miss (MOSTLY MISS!) The Uno was developed for XP and works for that system. Beware - check out the forum and judge for yourself. According to the M-Audio website, my uno should just connect to my Vista 64 bit OS without ANY needed driver. Needless to say it DID NOT WORK. Even trying 32 bit drivers did not work. Completely frustrating. NOT RECOMMENDED. UPDATE: I ordered a generic "USB MIDI Cable Converter" PC for Windows Vista by HDE from Amazon at 1/10 the price! According to several reviewers it works for Vista 32 and 64 bit! It worked for me on a Vista 64 bit system out of the box without a problem. I am using Band in the Box 2004. Now why can't M-Audio do the same?

I DJ and all my line cables are Monster Studio Links. I use these Monster M DJ cables to connect my Samsung LCD TV to my M-Audio AV 40 monitor speakers. I especially like that they offer a separate left-right channel in one cable as it provides less clutter. There is no need to replace my excellent Studio Links, but, if I were to purchase a new DJ system, there would be no hesitation as to their fine quality. They are nice and thick and designed for the rigors of the road.

I really like Monster's DJ Cable series, as it sports the same quality they're know for, while at a discount to the similar Studio Link series. Basically, you're getting the same cable with gold connectors, just a purple-hued jacket instead of the thicker black jacket. I can see how these are geared for DJs, as there are a ton of decks and DJ mixers with RCA outs, but most professionals use a sound mixer with 1/4" inputs, as well as hooking up to a PA system or soundboard for gigs. I've used both the 2 and 4 meter version of these cables with no complaints, and they're great for connecting gear to a home studio for recording. I would probably recommend the Studio Link cables for connecting to monitors, but otherwise go for these.

bought two of these in order to slide old PCs into my audio component stacks and use them as digital jukeboxes. Installation is not all that simple because the existing PC audio drivers battle with the new audio card. There is a long list of driver installs and system changes necessary to make the card work. Unfortunately, the manufacturer skimped on printed instructions--they haven't changed in years and still refer to Windows 98 (no kidding). To further cut costs, M Audio no longer bothers to answer the phone all that much. I got intelligent US based help with my first card but with the second I've never been able to get someone on the phone and so that PC is silent. Avid/M Audio's stated call center hours are M-F 9-5 Pacific time but closed from 12-2 for training. Even within that limited window, I waited for more than an hour and still never got to speak to a human. And if you are calling more than 30 days after buying the product...they provide a number for "support" from a third party for $2.60 a minute--not US based and not intelligent. Good luck with that. If you are tech savy, you may want to take a chance on this card. If you need instructions or after purchase support, forget it. I was planning to buy a third card but passsed because of the poor customer service. Glad I did. I found the ASUS Xonar Essence which offers superior sound quality...and even an up to date installation manual. Guess they want repeat customers.

I popped it in my computer, installed the drivers, bingo! Quickest install ever. You can download newer drivers from their website if need-be. It's been working great for the past few years now.

This is a great sound card at a very reasonable price. M-audio also sells a 192 kHz card, but I'm not sure who needs that... Heads up if you are thinking of buying this card: the drivers and manual that come in the box are completely outdated. You will have to go to the M-audio website to download the updated driver for your system. However, if you want an updated manual you are out of luck! There is no such thing the their website, only the same 2003 manual that ships with the card. Gimme a break!! For that reason I'm taking away 1 star.

Great sound card. The best i have used as compared to my creative lab sound blaster live 5.1. Presently using this sound card to do some music, audio editing sound files from USB turntable, mixing and more.Connecting musical instruments such as my keyboard and more is all good. Would like to encourage other individuals that you're always right with M-Audio sound cards. Its the way to go.

I am an amateur home recording engineer. Not wanting to spend 3 or 4 hundred for an audio interface, I when with this sound card. I run Windows XP with Ableton Live and Tracktion. This is a PCI card, so you need to open the computer and plug into a slot, if you have a spare one. The instructions were a little tedious, but I followed them and haven't had any problems since. Depending on your setup you might have to do the driver shuffle. The 24 is for the bit depth and 96 is max sample rate. That means that the card is roughly 4X CD data rate. The card supports ASIO monitoring, which is a must for low latency monitoring if you are using virtual instruments. There are ASIO drivers for the motherboard sound cards, but you will still have the same lower quality if recording analog signals. This card is solid.

Average Rating:

The Audiophile 2496 embodies a quantum leap in computer audio fidelity and performance unequaled by other audio cards in its price range. This critically acclaimed PCI card features premium digital audio converters, elegant board design, and ultra-stable drivers just like the rest of the Delta line, but with a simpler I/O configuration...

These cables are fine. They are cheaper and more durable than anything in their price range. If your looking for something that dosen't pop when you pull the cable out while the volume is still up than.....keep looking. Clearly electric instruments aren't your bag. If your looking for something worth every penny double up on your order and get 2-3 of these. They look good as well. They offer a more classic rock feel.

it's basically a cord. i used it for my guitar and pocket amp and it works great.

This Cable is good for playing, It is good quality, and the sound comes out well... not really anything fancy... doesn't reduce the popping sound while changing guitars or anything. It's just your standard Cable and it does come with a handy holder for storage...

I got a good price on Amazon and this is a good cable. I don't care about cables like some people seem to, if it works it works, but I have had enough troubles and time-wasted with cheap cables that it is worth spending extra to get a decent one. The problems I have generally had are where the cable screws on to the connector, and this cable does not have that problem at all.

I Really like this cable. Though the six ft. version is relatively short, it does its job well. This cable is very quiet, and I consider it to be recording worthy

Picked this up for the patch connection between my effects pedal to my amp, perfect size. I'm not bought into the quality of monster versus others, and this is their "Standard" model. But the price is right and competitive and it is well made and not falling apart after spending most of its life on the floor.

I wanted a 6ft. standard instrument cable. I bought this one and it worked. You can even color-code it with interchangeable colored bands included. Its not long enough to run back and forth across the stage but I didn't really buy it for that.

Monster Standard instrument cable is amazingly good for the price. It's flexible (unlike some of their more expensive cable), quiet, solid, and durable. It's much more transparent to tone than many other more expensive cables. For the money, it's really hard to beat. I won't waste money on the more expensive cables again.

I've only been using them for a few weeks, but they do the job. I can't imagine they'd be very durable, but for the price I'm satisfied.

Bought these and they worked great with my Digitech delay, reverb, chorus and Jaman. No noticeable noise added to my ears. They continue to work to this day. They are built tough enough for moderate use and do the job for cheap. GOOD VALUE!

A little light in gauge for using many of them, but one or two in a string is ok.

These cables work, they're cheap, and they sound fine. You can get a 6-pack of pedal cables for the standard price of a single "budget" pedal cable. As such, these seem good for musicians just playing for fun at home. My ear can't tell the difference between these and more expensive "budget" cables. These cables definitely feel cheap, with very thin cables between the nickle plated jacks. However, given the short distance between pedals, I haven't noticed a change in sound compared to thicker cables. Because of how thin these cables are, they are good for practice at home, but I'd want something more reliable for gigging. If you play an expensive guitar through an expensive amp, or require reliability for gigs, you may want an expensive cable to complete the package. For those playing cheap guitars through cheap amps, or just fooling around and having fun at home or with friends, these cables do the job for 1/6 the price of the closest competition.

they do the trick for the money. it seems the molded ends could be more solid to the cable. i have better ones, but they work.

These are not top quality cables, but are similar in quality to the types of cables that are included with consumer electronics. These cables can be a versatile tool for the types of things that require this level of quality. These cables can be used to take the output from something like an iPod and feed it into a mixing console. That's one of the stated uses and can be a practical way of playing along with anything you may have previously mixed and stored on an iPod as opposed to requiring discrete inputs from professional equipment. If your friend put down a guitar track and brought it along on his iPod, you could use it as part of your mix. If you want to take the outputs from your electronic drums and feed them into a computer sound card's jack, you can use this. Or if you want to plug the same thing into your mini stereo so you can play along with a CD to learn a part, this can help too. These are a few pinch type situations I have found it convenient for as opposed to a serious professional use, but the last one alone gave me an inexpensive and convenient alternative to hooking up a mixing console, merely so my son could play his electronic drums along with a CD. I don't know if this would rise to the level of professional studio equipment, but there are times when the task calls for nothing more or less than what this cable provides. I give this five stars based on its quality for the price point.

This device allows me to link a microphone preamp to the sound card on my computer. It works exactly as it's supposed to.

This cable is inexpensive but it works great. Also the manufacturing quality seems very nice. I'm getting great sound out of my Alesis 520 studio monitors, which are hooked up to my computer using this cable.

I was having a hard time trying to figure out what kind of cables do I need to connect my laptop to my monitors. Laptop, as you know, generally has a 3.5mm TRS out. My monitors, on the other hand, have a 1/4" TRS input. After researching a bit on the internet, I found these cables. The cable length helps me place my monitors at a decent distance from each other (and I can have them at an elevation too!). These cables are serving the purpose pretty well. I am satisfied with this product.

Work ok if you want something cheap. Start to break if you move them much.

Guitar Hero World Tour Replacement Cymbal Cable Left and Right Guitar Hero World Tour Replacement Cymbal Cable Left and Right

this piece is a must have if you own the guitar hero wt drums. don't bother calling the manufacturer because they don't have replacement parts like this one, they just tell you that you have to buy a new drum set. well they're wrong!! a broken cymbal cable is pretty common, specially if you have young children who don't know that turning the cymbal 360 will break it. i actually tried to repair it myself based on stuff i saw online.. i failed miserably, i have! no electrical experience and no proper tools so im surprised i even tried.. but this little cable is pre-made! it saves you time, and headaches. it's awesome and 5 dollars per fix is probably cheaper than if you had to buy the tools and the material to fix it yourself. definitely a must have.

The transaction was fast and easy the goods arrive to my home the next day. My kids are happy they can use the drum set again!!

Great quick repair if one of the cymballs is turned completely around and the wire snaps (which can happen easily when the drumset is around little kids). Easy repair - don't bother messing with the soldering tips on the internet - this cable is a quick and easy fix, and the drumset is as good as new out of the box.

after my son acciddentaly tore the cable from the cymbal, i thought all was lost and that i had to ship the whole unit back. But, i was just looking on amazon to see if anyone else experienced this sort of mishap and i was lucky to find others and the replacement cable. thanks again amazon.

My son pulled one of the cymbal cables out slightly and the entire cymbal would not work. This replacement cable saved us from not being able to use the drum set to the world tour game. The cable was very easy to install. My 13 year old son did it by himself rather quickly. The cable also arrived very quickly from the 3rd party.

Average Rating:

Replace your destroyed cymbal cable with the original part! This is for BOTH left and right cymbal cables. They are plug and play, no soldering or cutting required. These cables will work for Guitar Hero World Tour drum set in all platforms (Wii, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360)

Does what it is supposed to do...price was good.....basically, there is no other place to get these.....you can't go to best buy and get one...

Just what I needed! I lost the USB end-cable for my controller, which made it absolutely useless. I checked every local parts seller and could not find the darn thing...

It fits, it works, it came when expected. The seller did everything right and expeditiously. What more to say, except; why would Amazon think this piece of hardware is a game? TM

Microsoft hopes to sell more controllers by including this little dongle between the XBox console and the controller. When I received my XBox360.. I won it... it had 2 controllers but was missing the dongles. I was pleased to find a source for them, and was even more pleased by the reasonable price and prompt service I got from this seller. A great transaction.

Like I said....There really isn't much to say about this. Good points: *It works *its cheap *fits more snug than OEM breakaway Bad points: *I couldn't go to a local store and buy this Well if you lost your breakaway cable...take it from me, this will do the job!
